Safety Rules!

We would like everyone to enjoy their time sailing on our pond.
To help all of us acheive this aim please take note of these rules
.

RADIO:-
(a) Only frequencies licensed in the UK for surface vehicles are permitted. - 35Mhz is for aircraft only.
(b) Before switching on your equipment CHECK
i. Pegboard to see if your channel is already being used.
ii. If pegboard is not available make a verbal enquiry with fellow boaters who are sailing.
iii. Put a peg with your name onto the pegboard against the frequency that you will be using.
iv. Ensure channel identification is visible on your transmitter and that there is a guard fitted to the end of the aerial.

POND SIDE:-
(a) Lifebelt to be available when sailing.
(b)Lifejackets must be used by ALL occupants of rescue boat.
(c) Weils disease - please read for important information on pond hygiene.
(d) First Aid kit to be available.

PERMITTED CRAFT:-
(a) Electric powered scale craft
(b) Airscrew Powered fun boats and Hovercraft
(c) Submarines
(d) Yachts and Sailcraft
(e) Fast Electric craft (when suitable space is available)
(f) Steam Powered craft (only permitted with a current Boiler Test Certificate unless exempt)
(g)I.C. powered craft are not permitted.
(h)Sailing to be conducted in an orderly and considerate manner - No deliberate ramming etc.
