Come along and join in the fun as we celebrate ten years of model boating in Heywood.
Static Display - Mini Bring and Buy Sale - Steering and Endurance competitions. Our very own "Bumper Boat" Competition Raffle.
Date of 10th anniversary event has been set for July 29th and is being combined with the Bill Wilson Memorial Day.
Start time will be 10:30 - end time approx 4:00 pm
Food and drink will be available at the Comm Ctr - drinks will also be available at the lake side.
There will be a static display of member's boats in the Comm Ctr and we will be inviting a few local Clubs to display as well. There will be a trophy for the best model on display.
There will be three planned events on the lake - the usuaul Bill Wilson event with cut down times (10mins per heat) - A steering competition and a display/competition of the bumper boats.
Space and weather permitting, we will set up the mini pond and boats for the kids
We are also going to have a montage of pictures covering ten years of the club
There will be a raffle - the club will put in £50.00 for prize(s).
A Tombola stall has also been suggested and will be run provided we have someone to man it and enough donations as prizes. We cannot have a tombola unless there are enough sufficient.
All members are urged to attend and make this our best day ever.
