The Mutual Model Boat Society would like to thank everyone who attended the Bring and Buy sale held last Sunday.
The event was a great success for all who attended, the club itself gained a few new members. We would like to say a big welcome to all of you. There was a lot of great bargains to be had and on the day there was no pre-trading issues. Thank you to all of the traders for respecting the club's choice and for respecting the patrons of the bring and buy sale.
Due to the great success this year, we have decided to hold another Bring and Buy Sale later this year. We have not decided on a date yet, however we will be be placing an Ad in the local papers and magazines.
Again a big thank you to all who attended as you made it a great show.

The Mutual Model Boat Society is mourning the loss of not only a member but a close Friend. Albert Irlam has been a member of MMBS for the last 10yrs and a friend to all.
May your heart rest forever Uncle Albert and know that you will be sorely missed by us all.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make our Bring and Buy Sale such a great success. Without the support of our member, the traders and the many people who come along hunting for a bargian, this event would not be worth putting on. You all know who you are - Thank you.
Another year has begun and the months are passing slowly. February is the month of the MMBS Bring and Buy Sale. This year it was a great success, thanks to all the members who attended and shared the responsibilities that the show had to run.
Unfortuneately there are no photo's to add to the Gallery... I was asked to take a few pictures, however i became sidetracked and then completely forgot. No matter the Show was a complete success and all who attended enjoyed themseleves.
This year we also had a trader at our show and by all accounts i believe they found it to a great success for themselves as well. The only sour note we had was pre-show trading by a few of the sellers. All we can do is appologise for the pre-trading and endeavour to keep it to minimum next year.
Again a big thanks to all our members, and we hope it will as big next year as it was this.

Well what can be said... The Night was a great success for all who attended. I for one had a wonderful time, and i know my lady did as well. Thankyou to all of our members who attended the christams party and to all of you who donated the prizes for the Raffle.

In late Ocotber last year, the Mutual Model Boat Society attented the Blackpool Model Boat Show. Whilst there we recruited a few new members and met some old friends. Although our stand did not win, we will be back to win it next year. The 'Bring and Buy' room was still tucked away however there were alot more signs up to let people know where to go and of course the announcements were added to aid visitors.
I would like to thank those who made the stand again this year as it was the best the club has had. Also thanks goes out Ray B whith whom the Members boats were able to attend the show. Thankyou to all of you who attended and thankyou to one of members who printed the white shirts for the club. Alot of comments were recieved in regards to the shirts, and all of them complimentary.

Unfortuneately i was unable to attend the Kirklees show, however from those who did attend i was told it was a good event. In the Gallery we have a few happy snaps from the show.

As usual we attended the Blackpool Model Boat Show held at the Norbreck Castle Hotel. This is a new venue for this annual event and was a big success. Facilities were much better than at the Winter Gardens although poor catering was a sore point with many visitors while ample parking was a great plus.
Overall, I would classify the show as a huge success and hope to see everyone there again next year.
Finally, I would like to express my thanks to all members who contributed to making our stand one of the best in the hall. As a club we should be proud of the display that we put on.
