Only one of the dreadnoughts and possibly neither will be going home as they both send rounds flying through the other’s armour and water pours in the gaping wounds. To the East, unnoticed, a single battleship sits in a choke point ambushing and sinking each enemy merchant that tries to get past. The merchant’s cries for help unheard in the din. To the West a cruiser races to intercept another convoy, forcing the ships into wild evasive action and slowing them down so a lumbering battleship can catch up and bring its heavy guns to bear... Welcome to Kirklees Model Boat Club, The club was first registered in the magazine, Model Boats in February 1978 as having twenty members.
The first chairman and founder member was Joe Strand, the club at this time was called, Kirklees Model Club, as club members also ran model cars, boats, tanks and round the pole flying. In the years that followed the activities were refined down to model boat building and sailing, the club name changed along with adopting the Swan logo.

The City of Box Hill also asked for suggestions for uses of the lake. A small group put forward the idea of a model boat club. The city embraced the idea and a club was formed. Membership is now around 70.

Burton & District Model Boat Club provide facilities and support for most types of boat modellers, static, scale, yachting, etc. Our sailing water at Branston is not suitable for straight running, and we try to limit high speed IC boats to a few special events in the year, as the water is also a nature reserve.
Burton & District Model Boat Club meet at the Woodville Snooker Club on the first Wednesday of every month. We assemble for 7:30pm and the meetings start at 8pm.
Members build and sail all types of Model Boats including Steam, Electric, Power Boats, Yachts and Scale Models, and also take part in events all around the Country. Many Club events and shows are undertaken throughout the year and all members are invited to take part in them. A Quarterly newsletter is also distributed to all members.

The club enjoys a varied age group and of both sexes who are interested in all aspects of model boats whether building, sailing or watching. We are a club of mixed interests and building skills ranging from complete novice to competition standard, from "off the shelf " ready to sail models to totally hand made precision built models.
There are opportunities for competition sailing, fun sailing or if preferred, static display. Our fleet is as varied as the membership, ranging from tugs, yachts, lifeboats, submarines and amphibious craft to a floating harbour.
The club has its sailing waters at Setley Pond (click for directions) located in the New Forest close to Lymington, Christchurch and Brockenhurst.
It was founded in 1978, initially as a Yacht Sailing Club racing International RM and 1m Class, National R Class and 6m yachts affiliated to the MYA. The Scale Section was founded later and is affiliated to the South West Association of Model Boat Clubs.
The Yachting Section meets at the lake on Tuesday and Friday Mornings at 10 am and the Scale Section on Thursday and Sunday mornings at 10 am, and a very friendly welcome is extended to all visitors - there are also regular visits from New Forest ponies and cattle that come to drink at the pond. The pond is co-located with a Picnic Area and model boaters can park directly adjacent to the pond. Unfortunately fast electric racing boats or IC boats are not allowed by the Forestry Commission Regulations.

Welcome aboard the Southern Model Lifeboat Society. The Society was formed to promote the building of model Lifeboats and rescue craft and to display them to raise money for the RNLI and projects related to the Lifeboat service. The Society members cover all the expences of the Society so every penny collected is used for the Lifeboat service
The Society was formed in 1988 by Tony Olliff getting together a few like minded people to spend some of their spare time ( when not building models ) to displaying their efforts to raise money for RNLI projects. Money was collected to go towards a new Tyne class Lifeboat for Shoreham in 1992 we managed £825.00 for that appeal. Other new Lifeboats appeals we supported were Eastbourne new Mersey class £750.00, Swanage new Mersey class and over £1000.00 for a 'D' class boat which modellers from all over the country managed to pay for outright. We have also funded many other items of equipment for Lifeboat stations along the south coast and to send money to our area office to help appeals for general Lifeboat use.
Our members are interested in all fields of Model Boating - Scale, Speed Boats, Submarines, Yachts, and Live Steam.

Men and Woman of all ages come to sail, our club is not just about sailing it's about getting together and having fun.

We hope you enjoy your visit into the fascinating world of model ships. The aim of the association is to bring together model ship building enthusiasts who wish to improve their current modelling skills and progress to a higher standard.

We are not a model boat club but enjoy modelling and sailing at our local park where Modeller's and visitors to the boating Pond are growing rapidly as you will see by the amount of photo's of models on these pages.
A good thing about free-sailing we see different faces each week.
The group was formed in 2000 to encourage and promote the hobby of marine modelling in all it's guizes.
We will hopefully provide a brief insight into the Hull Model Boat Group, it's members and the charitable events
we have attended over the years. Many of the groups members are either disabled or retired and this is
perhaps reflected in the extremely high standard of the models that they produce.
Members vary in age from 12 to 80 yrs and everyone is made to feel very welcome. The informal structure of the
Group is it's undoubted attraction and continued success. There are no rules, regulations or formal meetings to
contend with. Like minded modellers have grouped together utilizing basis common sense, fairplay and a willingness
to help and encourage others into this most rewarding hobby.

This website has been created to help other model boaters with their own boats. Fireboats are starting to become much of a collectors item, particularly the older Aerokit Crash Tender Model 36" and 48".
This site will also help out with much more than model fireboats and over time it has been developed to provide users with all sorts of information such as electronics, radio control troubleshooting and even includes a message board where anyone can post their queries. Why not get you're boat included in the Picture or Video Gallery! More recently Boat Building Blogs have been implemented where anyone can write about their builds and have it shown online for free!
For anything to do with fireboats, this site has it all. Although fairly new, there has already been a lot of input by its members.
Vicar Water Models are a dedicated group of model builders male and female, young and old. They enjoy this relaxing and creative pastime. We are very grateful to the Officers and staff at Newark and Sherwood District Council for the use of the park water also for the help and assistance provided.
The Club which was formed in 1946 has over 140 members interested in designing, building and flying all types of Model Aircraft, ranging from ultra-lightweight Indoor models to Slope and Thermal Soaring, Electric Flight, I.C. Powered models, Helicopters and Ducted Fan and Gas Turbine models.
Not much is known about the club, but there are a few models on display here. When I am able to get more information i will let you know.
The Club was originally formed as a scale model boat club. We now, however, cater for modelling of all types, not just for boats. There is a high level of interest in scale and non scale sail. We have an active steam group as well as a small nucleus of 'fast electric' members.
The Club meets for sailing every Sunday morning at 11am on the lake in Wardown Park, Luton, Bedfordshire. The lake facility is brought to us by the kind offices of Luton Borough Council who take an interest in our activities and are always keen to assist our endeavours in every way possible.
An excellent site for all things Warship (some excellent Warship pictures and builds in progress being posted)
As you are reading this we presume that you have an interest in model submarines and that you have many questions that require answering. Through these web pages we will introduce you to the hobby and try to answer some of the more common questions relating to model submarines. The Association publishes a quarterly magazine "In Depth", which contains hints, tips, book reviews, forth coming attractions and acts as a general forum for the membership. The Association of Model Submariners take great pride in appearing at major British model exhibitions, where members from Britain and abroad meet and exchange ideas.
We are a world wide not-for-profit organization focusing on submarine modeling, both R/C and static. Currently, we have over 1,000 members from over 25 countries!
