Welcome to the Manx Model Boat Club and our hobby of Model Boating. The club was formed in the Isle of Man in 1985 by a small number of enthusiasts and now in our 21st year it has approximately 65 members. Our membership are interested in all aspects of Model Boating from Scale Models, Speed Boats, Submarines and Yachts to building static historical models and even ships in bottles!
7 model boat enthusiasts local to Telford town founded the club in 1984. These members built and sailed various model boats in the park in the centre of Telford as well as Priorslee Lake. Over the years Telford Model Boat Club has evolved in to the organisation it is today.
Currently TMBC has 51 members in ages ranging from 12 to nearly 80, many of whom have been members for 10 years or more. The residency of the membership is centred around people living within 15 miles of Priorslee Lake, but because of some rather specialist interests and comradeships that have formed over the years we have members from as far afield as Worcester, Coventry, Leominster, Wrexham, Gosport, Lancaster, Gloucester and Leicester.
We're to be found every Sunday sailing at Knightswood Park, Archerhill Road Knightswood, Glasgow G11. Scotland.
Our Club formed on 10th March 2002 by a group of model boaters who thought that there was a need for a model boat club in the north and west of the city. It is easier for members from the outlying parts wishing to be associated with model boats to travel to a pond more local to them than having to travel many more miles to sail their models and also have a friendly natter with guys of similar interests.
We usually start to gather around 1pm and stay until we're too cold, or too tired, or afraid of getting in trouble for staying out too long.
Every so often we get together for a night sail as well, giving us a chance to try out all the various lights we've installed. Currently we have thirty active members and over fifty boats.
Welcome to Kirklees Model Boat Club, The club was first registered in the magazine, Model Boats in February 1978 as having twenty members.
The first chairman and founder member was Joe Strand, the club at this time was called, Kirklees Model Club, as club members also ran model cars, boats, tanks and round the pole flying. In the years that followed the activities were refined down to model boat building and sailing, the club name changed along with adopting the Swan logo.
The City of Box Hill also asked for suggestions for uses of the lake. A small group put forward the idea of a model boat club. The city embraced the idea and a club was formed. Membership is now around 70.

Burton & District Model Boat Club provide facilities and support for most types of boat modellers, static, scale, yachting, etc. Our sailing water at Branston is not suitable for straight running, and we try to limit high speed IC boats to a few special events in the year, as the water is also a nature reserve.
Burton & District Model Boat Club meet at the Woodville Snooker Club on the first Wednesday of every month. We assemble for 7:30pm and the meetings start at 8pm.
Members build and sail all types of Model Boats including Steam, Electric, Power Boats, Yachts and Scale Models, and also take part in events all around the Country. Many Club events and shows are undertaken throughout the year and all members are invited to take part in them. A Quarterly newsletter is also distributed to all members.
The club enjoys a varied age group and of both sexes who are interested in all aspects of model boats whether building, sailing or watching. We are a club of mixed interests and building skills ranging from complete novice to competition standard, from "off the shelf " ready to sail models to totally hand made precision built models.
There are opportunities for competition sailing, fun sailing or if preferred, static display. Our fleet is as varied as the membership, ranging from tugs, yachts, lifeboats, submarines and amphibious craft to a floating harbour.
Welcome aboard the Southern Model Lifeboat Society. The Society was formed to promote the building of model Lifeboats and rescue craft and to display them to raise money for the RNLI and projects related to the Lifeboat service. The Society members cover all the expences of the Society so every penny collected is used for the Lifeboat service
The Society was formed in 1988 by Tony Olliff getting together a few like minded people to spend some of their spare time ( when not building models ) to displaying their efforts to raise money for RNLI projects. Money was collected to go towards a new Tyne class Lifeboat for Shoreham in 1992 we managed £825.00 for that appeal. Other new Lifeboats appeals we supported were Eastbourne new Mersey class £750.00, Swanage new Mersey class and over £1000.00 for a 'D' class boat which modellers from all over the country managed to pay for outright. We have also funded many other items of equipment for Lifeboat stations along the south coast and to send money to our area office to help appeals for general Lifeboat use.
Our members are interested in all fields of Model Boating - Scale, Speed Boats, Submarines, Yachts, and Live Steam.

The club is licensed by the Doncaster metropolitan Borough council to use the Dome Lake.We sail on a Sunday afternoon from about 1pm onwards and get together on a wednesday evening after 6pm[summer months 5pm] at the lake, situated behind the Doncaster Dome Leisure Park. the Dome provides us with clubroom facilities [inc toilets] which overlook the lake. These facilities are used mainly on Wednesday evening when we meet for social, business and training sessions. During the lighter Wednesday evenings we will also sail and somtimes we have evening sailing with lights. Men and Woman of all ages come to sail, our club is not just about sailing it's about getting together and having fun.

We are not a model boat club but enjoy modelling and sailing at our local park where Modeller's and visitors to the boating Pond are growing rapidly as you will see by the amount of photo's of models on these pages.
A good thing about free-sailing we see different faces each week.
The group was formed in 2000 to encourage and promote the hobby of marine modelling in all it's guizes.
We will hopefully provide a brief insight into the Hull Model Boat Group, it's members and the charitable events
we have attended over the years. Many of the groups members are either disabled or retired and this is
perhaps reflected in the extremely high standard of the models that they produce.
Members vary in age from 12 to 80 yrs and everyone is made to feel very welcome. The informal structure of the
Group is it's undoubted attraction and continued success. There are no rules, regulations or formal meetings to
contend with. Like minded modellers have grouped together utilizing basis common sense, fairplay and a willingness
to help and encourage others into this most rewarding hobby.
This website has been created to help other model boaters with their own boats. Fireboats are starting to become much of a collectors item, particularly the older Aerokit Crash Tender Model 36" and 48".
This site will also help out with much more than model fireboats and over time it has been developed to provide users with all sorts of information such as electronics, radio control troubleshooting and even includes a message board where anyone can post their queries. Why not get you're boat included in the Picture or Video Gallery! More recently Boat Building Blogs have been implemented where anyone can write about their builds and have it shown online for free!
For anything to do with fireboats, this site has it all. Although fairly new, there has already been a lot of input by its members.
